About Arkadelphia, AR - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Situated in southwestern Arkansas near the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, Arkadelphia is the county seat of Clark County and current home of more than 10,000 residents who enjoy the excellent schools, low crime, and impressive array of services, conveniences, and attractions that make the city a great place to live.
Arkadelphia’s friendly, progressive business environment, together with recent positive job growth and community-wide programs and incentives aimed at drawing new residents and businesses to the area make it a great city for working and doing business. The city is home to two excellent four-year universities – Henderson State, a public liberal arts institution established in 1890 that is home to the “Showband of Arkansas,” one of the country’s finest collegiate marching bands, and Ouachita Baptist, a private liberal arts university established in 1886 that consistently ranks among the top colleges and universities in the nation. Arkadelphia’s strong commitment to education is reflected in the large number of residents who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher – more than 35%, a figure well above the national average!
Arkadelphia’s temperate seasonal climate produces hot humid summers and moderately cool winters – perfect weather for enjoying the host of opportunities for outdoor sports and recreation prevalent throughout the area. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy hiking and biking on Feaster Trail, kayaking and canoeing on the Caddo River, and championship golfing at Turtle Pointe Resort Golf Club and DeGray Lake Resort Golf Course. The city hosts a number of festivals and special events each year, including the annual Arktoberfest Craft Beer Festival and Catfish Cook Off, held each October in downtown Arkadelphia. The festival features a homebrew competition, 5-K run, and catfish cook off, as well as arts and crafts, local food vendors, and brew tents filled with samples of Arkansas craft beers, wines, and spirits.
Arkadelphia is located just 30 miles south of Ouachita National Forest, a 1.8 million-acre expanse of forestland stretching from central and south-central Arkansas through central Oklahoma. The forest features a veritable treasure trove of outdoor activities that include hiking, biking, fishing, boating, camping, hunting, picnicking, rock climbing, and more. Closer to home, nearby DeGray Lake features outstanding fishing and boating, along with camping, horseback riding, hiking and biking, a sandy beach for swimming, and resort class lodging at DeGray Lake Resort State Park Lodge, located just a few miles north of the city.
